The Houston Dynamo are expanding their youth development program and are excited to announce that the GULFSOUTH Soccer Club based in Santa Rosa Beach, FL will become part of the Dynamo Juniors affiliate program.
With this agreement, GULFSSOUTH Soccer Club will adopt the name Dynamo and become recognized as the GULFSOUTH Dynamo, providing a competitive youth soccer program for the Walton County area and surrounding communities.
“The group at GULFSOUTH brings great energy to our program and we’re looking forward to them becoming a part of the success our other affiliates have seen over the recent years” says Kevin Mooney, Houston Dynamo Juniors Director. “Their experienced coaching staff of former professional players and coaches in the Ajax organization fits in very well with our program goals and club expectations.”

We now have the ability to leverage the proven success of the Houston Dynamo and Major League Soccer’s youth development program” said Frank Casillo, Executive Director of GULFSOUTH Dynamo. ”Giving our kids the chance to be trained by professionals and exposed to higher levels of play will improve their chances to play soccer at the next level… including youth national teams, colleges and within the Houston Dynamo system.”
As part of the agreement, the Houston Dynamo Juniors program will provide organization guidance and assistance with GULFSOUTH’S training methodology and curriculum. Both coaches and players will have access to Dynamo Junior resources and exclusive educational events. Other benefits include:
· College Showcase Camp led by the Houston Dynamo staff and regional college coaches.
· Opportunity to host an MLS exhibition game in our area
· Other community-based events such as MLS player appearances, fundraisers and tournaments
· Travel to Houston to watch an MLS match with professional player meet-and-greets
